During her high school career, Makya was a three time member of the All Region Team, 3X All District 1st Team, lettered in basketball, played for KY Premier AAU, and was on the honor roll. During her freshman year at Centre, she was an important 6th man for her team with 66 steals. This was the second most in the SAA. After transferring to Transy, she will be beginning her junior season.
